GLOSSARY

COMFORTONGUE:
An anatomically molded tongue which evenly distributes lace pressure while gently pressing your heel into place. Increases comfort and provides a more secure fit.

COMPRESSION MOLDED EVA:
Pre-molded EVA which is compressed. Offers increased cushioning and rebound.

DRI-LEX^® AERO-SPACER^® MESH LINING:
A patented triple-layer lining material designed to offer maximum comfort and performance.

DURABUCK:
A fast-drying PU coated leather ideal for amphibious footwear.

EVA [Ethylene Vinyl Acetate]:
A lightweight, open-celled foam used as midsole or insole cushioning.

SHANK:
A steel or composite insert placed between the outsole and the lasting board. Provides increased torsional rigidity and stability.

SYMPATEX^® PLUS:
A component of Logic technology. A waterproof, breathable Sympatex^® bootie which is inserted into a waterproof upper during the lasting process. Provides the benefits of waterproof construction along with the fit and comfort of non-waterproof footwear.

TECPROOF^TM:
Hi-Tec's waterproofing process providing a comfortable and dry foot environment.

THERMASTAT^TM:
A climate-control performance fabric made of hollow-core, 100% Dacron^® fibers with thermal insulating capabilities built right in. Certified by DuPont^®.

3D² CONTOURED COMFORT INNERSOLE:
A component of Logic technology. Hi-Tec's exclusive innersole featuring three densities of cushioning and three dimensions of support. A soft top layer conforms to the small anatomical contours of the foot which provides increased comfort. A higher-density bottom layer serves as a cradle for the foot which provides extra stability under the arch and heel. A QuadraShockTM impact-absorbing polymer under the heel evenly distributes shock and provides rebound with each step.
